Welcome to Bert & Hugo

We are a loving family of seven—parents Martina and Boštjan, our three lively children Maks, Filip, and Ajda, and, of course, our two adorable Pomeranians, Bert and Hugo. Our journey with our furry friends began a few years ago after much thought and excitement about adding a dog to our family.
In August five years ago, our first Pomeranian, Bert, joined our family. From the moment he arrived, Bert became a cherished member of our household, filling our days with joy and unconditional love. Two years later, we decided Bert deserved a companion to make his days even brighter. That’s when Hugo, another sweet Pomeranian with the most captivating blue and brown eyes, came into our lives.
Both Bert and Hugo were born in Germany, raised by the exceptional breeders at Luxpomm. Their guidance and support during our early days as dog owners were invaluable, helping us navigate the challenges of raising our new pups. The names Bert and Hugo were chosen the moment we saw their pictures—Bert simply called to us, and Hugo’s unique eyes made it clear he was something special. Their names, rooted in German heritage, hold beautiful meanings: Bert signifies “bright” or “radiant,” while Hugo represents “intellect” or “wisdom.”
As Bert and Hugo grew, we discovered how difficult it was to find high-quality, luxurious products that met their needs. This inspired us to create Bert & Hugo—a platform dedicated to making life easier and more enjoyable for dog owners like us. From sharing travel tips and guides to helping you find pet-friendly accommodations, our mission is to celebrate the bond between humans and their four-legged companions.
